Half-day training course
A practical half‑day workshop on producing clear, publication‑ready figures for scientific and technical communication. Participants learn how to choose appropriate formats, export correctly for journals and reports, avoid figure congestion, use accessible colour palettes, and maintain consistent branding. The session includes real examples and practical improvement exercises. Suitable for scientists, engineers, and R&D teams, and available on‑site or online.

Career Development & Competency‑Based Interview Skills
A practical course that teaches participants how to take charge of their own career development, analyse role requirements, map their own experience against competency frameworks, and identify strengths and development gaps. Based on the method recommended by the Royal Society of Chemistry for CChem and CSci applicants — and delivered by us for over a decade — this training provides a structured approach to building evidence, preparing for competency‑based interviews, and proactively managing career progression. Participants learn to use a Skills Matrix to capture evidence, plan development activities, and construct clear STAR‑structured interview answers with confidence.

Our Background and Experience
Our systems‑thinking leadership training was originally developed for the UK Ministry of Defence, and we have delivered professional skills training for more than 20 years across the UK and US, including university programmes and industry workshops. Our lead trainer is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and as an active R&D company, we use these methods daily in our own scientific and technical projects. This ensures that every course is practical, applied, and grounded in real‑world experience.
